THE CHALLENGE
Roofing Supplies (SW) Ltd. aka RSL is based in Plymouth and supplies roofing materials to both public and trade customers in Devon and Cornwall. They wanted to expand their sales and after discussions with ICO3 determined that the best course of action to reach customers nationally would require outsourced e-commerce expertise in order for them to focus on their core business.

THE SOLUTION
As RSL had mainly traded directly with customers in the south-west or by telephone there was no previous requirement for an e-commerce platform. ICO3 designed a new website, imported existing inventory and rewrote descriptions for every single item. EBay and Amazon stores were also formed as part of the sales strategy.
THE RESULT
We immediately started listing items on eBay to begin visibility and sourced barcodes for Amazon trading. The website was launched in June 2012 and sales started in the very first week. ICO3 is excited about the partnership as these early and promising results are a benchmark for the successes RSL will experience in the future.
