17/04/2008Dispute Service Website collects .5 million tenanciesThe Dispute Service website has now collected more than .5 million tenancies since its launch on the 6th April 2007. The website, which allows users to add details of deposits of tenancies, enables landlords and their agents to comply with the Housing Act 2004. Since the 6th April 2007 it has been a statutory requirement for landlords to register a tenancy and the amount of deposit which is being held with the DCLG (the Department of Communities and Local Government). As well as allowing them to add tenancies using an online interface, the system developed exclusively by ICO3 also allows them to upload larger numbers of tenancies in XML or CSV formats. |
